Average replacement to my previous Gallery microwave

Had to replace my old Gallery microwave as it stopped heating after about ten years of use.The good: Mostly the same microwave, except this one is super quiet in comparison to the older one I had. The bad: While the dimensions are 'close' to the older one, it is just enough different to a point you need to re-do the back wall and the cabinet to receive the Microwave. I had to remove about half an inch of tiles on the wall to install the back support (which it doesn't need at the end of the day). And then, the locations of the screws holding up the microwave are different so new holes had to be drilled on the top cabinet. Small changes to the microwave design but a bear of a installation change for the users.All in all, rating it as Average given the minimal technological improvement in ten years but difficulty in installation.

We had to replace our Whirlpool model in a hurry. We saw this one at the store and since it was made similarly we thought we give it a try. Upon first using it, we couldn't believe HOW QUIET it runs. This microwave has so many additional features to our old one. So far we really love it!

Purchased a Frigidaire Gallery double wall oven and microwave. All work fine but installation was a process. The microwave came with front logo crooked- first thing you see in kitchen as it eye level. called Frigidaire and they told me I needed to address it with the Lowes... Lowes said I needed to address it with Frigiaire. Eventually, Lowes said I needed to uninstall it even though I paid an installation fee and then bring the whole thing in to have it looked at... All I am asking for is a replacement door... What. a pain in the rear and I feel like we are getting the run aorund.

I love this microwave. The inside lights light up so well and the light over the oven encompasses the entire top of the oven. Something I never had. My old microwave only lit up the back of the oven burners and this one is awesome and covers the entire oven top.It has a beautiful interior and doesn™€™t have complicated features that I need a degree to operate. I love it.

The Clock can be Turned Off! Stove light is weak and the wrong tone for cooking.

After years of having two led clocks at the stove area, there is only one. Less light pollution. No time conflict. Operationally there is a learning curve. like setting a timer. It is not timer, time, start. This unit has timer, time, timer. Logical difference, but. My one complaint is the light for the stove area. Dim and poor color tone. It has green tones. The food looks bad. I have tried to use a strip led lamp I use for countertop lighting, but I am reluctant to drill holes into a new appliance.

Microwave has a nice clean look in it's stainless steel end glass finish. The fan is quiet but effective, and the lED overstove lights actually are bright enough to see what's cooking. Wife likes the quick plus 30 button. Hopefully this microwave will have a long life.

Great overall with a couple minor quirks

The microwave works well and looks good. It has some nice features like double, bright range lights, a +10 second button, and a bright and clearly readable clock. It operates pretty quietly, and the beeps are an appropriate loudness (and have adjustable volume, I believe). There are a few minor things that aren't ideal but aren't big enough issues to reduce my rating. The door mechanism is kind of loud when you shut it and sort of feels flimsier that other microwaves. I don't know if it actually is flimsier; it may just sound that way because it has a different design than other latch mechanisms I've seen, and there's a slight rattle when you close it. It takes slightly longer to heat things than in my previous microwave of similar power. And finally, the hood vent is powerful but is a bit louder than my previous OTR microwave's vent hood with similar power (400 cfm). Also, I had this shipped from a big box store, and it arrived damaged. I had to exchange it in-person at a store. Probably the shipper's fault, but I guess Frigidaire could have given it more robust packaging for shipping. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase!
